Resetting Collection Statistics

Wed Mar 05, 2008 4:39 pm
Hello, just a quick question.  I am using Amarok 1.4.8 with a SQLite database, and I am experiencing just a little problem with my collection statistics.

My song play statistics are way off, even after first starting my collection, songs that I have never played are listed in my top ten most played.  As a remedy, I thought that I would reset my statistics, but have had no luck finding out how to do so.  Is there a way to reset my statistics (completely resetting them is OK) without having to make a new database?

Thank you for your time!

rm ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/collection.db

This is going to nuke your collection database, and on next Amarok restart it's going to be rebuilt, with fresh statistics.

Thank you very much, this worked like a charm (and for any of my fellow newbies, I did not lose any album covers or any meta-info when I ran the suggested command).  The problem is resolved, my statistics are a lot better off now!
