OK, so, I need either a .deb file, or a .bin or something similar, that I can download (without the use of apt-get or similar), and install Amarok, because my linux-enabled computer cannot access the internet. so, I run a windows laptop, simultaneously, and then just transfer via a usb device or cd. So, does anyone know where I could download this? I have heard many, many great things about this software, and, although I understand that some of it's functionality comes from internet access, I would still like to see what all the hubbub is about, and Download and install it. .bin files are preferable, as I have had trouble installing .deb files, but either is acceptable. Any and all help is appreciated

Many Thanks,
Cody Haines

why can't you download the source, copy it to usb drive, load it into the Linux machine and compile?

if the original poster is having trouble with .debs, I don't think source is likely to be the answer.

You can get deb files from http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages
Choose the debian branch you prefer (stable 1.4.4-4 - testing 1.4.8-1 - unstable 1.4.8-2) and choose to KDE. (for testing http://packages.debian.org/testing/kde/)
Amarok is on the top of the list. From there you can download deb files and also check for dependencies.
If you are using KDE already I think (I don't know for sure) that you 'll just need the amarok and amarok-engine packages...
Hope it helps!

-You can also download a dvd image of Debian (amarok is on DVD1), add it as a cdrom repository and use apt-get or synaptic!

if you have trouble with the dependancies, try installing the "deb" with gdebi vice dpkg.
