Hello,
please help me, i think my kids have destroyed amarok by switching of the power of the pc while amarok was active. After the restart everything seems first ok, but as i tried to start amarok, it didn't work (for some time it seemed to start but it ended without starting the application) Afterwards the system was nearly unusable, so that i had to reboot. I think some file of amarok has been destroyed. Before reinstalling amarok i would like to try anything else, maybe deleting a corrupt file. thx for any help |

If you don't mind losing your Amarok statistics (make a backup), try the following to reset Amarok to defaults:
rm ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/collection.db If this doesn't help, try the following too: rm ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc
