I would appreciate to view my collection (not playlists) in the following way:

Upper area:
A horizontal bar of let's say 20% of the height of the window and 100% of the width on top of the window with 3 columns:
Genre | Interpret | Album
That should act as a filter. What is hightlighted here should be showed in the lower area.

Lower area:
The rest of the height of the window and again 100% of the width should show a sequence of albums. Which albums should be shown is determined by the upper area.
