Hello,
I really like amarok a lot, but there is a tiny issue that is really annoying. When I listen at any internet-stream, amarok "squeaks" (no idea how to describe it, sorry) from time to time (not regularly but every few seconds). It's not this loud, so you can listen anyway, but it's very annoying. This does not occur when listening to any other source, e.g. a local mp3-file. Furthermore, the very same stream works fine for a friend of mine, so I suppose the stream is alright. My downstream shouldn't be a problem to, as I'm able to get a constant downstream of up to 11Mbit, this should be enough for a 128kbit stream ![]() All this makes me think, that I'm running in some kind of buffer underrun. I already tried to change the "engine.buffers.audio_num_buffers" value in both "~/.xine/config" and "~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/xine-config" but that doesn't change anything. Some information about my system: OpenSuSE 10.3, x64, Amrok 1.4.8, xine 1.1.11 Is there any way to fix this? |

Make sure that you're actually Amarok's xine-engine, the default is some selfmade GStreamer engine by SUSE.

in amarok config dialog, xine is selected (and actually it's the only available choice...)
