Running Amarok 1.4.8 and xine on KDE libraries 3.5.9 (though actually running KDE 4), Kubuntu Hardy Alpha 6. I've noted this issue on Debian unstable as well.
When playing music via DAAP (mt-daapd svn-1696), when a song is first loaded up to start playing, there's roughly a 1/10 chance that the Title and Artist information will disappear from the playlist and instead some sort of sequence number presumably related to DAAP, such as 930, will appear in the Title, leaving Artist blank. The tags are correct if you go to Track Information in the context menu. Once this has happened, it stays that way and that song can no longer be found using the playlist filter for Title and Artist (unless you use the number which appeared). Encoding does not seem to be related. This occurs regardless of the format, and even strings of files from the same album will randomly have one or two files do this. It also seems to have trouble retrieving information from iTunes, but that's another issue. That's why I haven't tested to see if this happens when using an iTunes DAAP share. I've searched around and can't see any other evidence of this online, so I would be curious to know if anyone else has spotted this bug. |
