Hi,
I am running amarok in ubuntu 8.04 and I'm having a few issues with using my ipod in amarok. I have set up to autoload amarok by default when I plug in my ipod, but when amarok loads up it tries to 'populating playlist' and it takes a long long time (more than 10 minutes). Is there any way to stop this behavior, perhaps by passing some startup commands to amarok? Another thing I couldn't get to work is, pressing disconnect gives me an error in amarok. I think because I am using gnome, but the shutdown command for ipod in amarok is for kde... Could someone tell me the command for gnome? I tried: rm %m/iPod_Control/iTunes/iTunesLock;rm "%m/iPod_Control/iTunes/Play Counts";gnome-eject -t -d %d But it did not work. Lastly, I have a question about how amarok manages collections. I want to be able to have my ipod music included in the collection, but if I have automatically scan for changes enabled, then it has to rebuild the database everytime I connect or disconnect the ipod. Is there a way to disable autoscanning for the ipod only (but keep it for local harddrives)? Any help on these issues is much appreciated. Thanks |
