Shortcut for Search Filter?

Mon Mar 31, 2008 5:59 pm
When using the filter in Collection view (Amarok 1.47), I find the auto-search feature quite annoying with a large collection.  It causes a delay and will trigger after a few letters producing a larger then desired result.  I also tend to hit enter after putting a search in which will queue everything in the results.  User behaviour needs to be modified obviously!

So, 2 points.

1)  Is there a way to disable this auto-search feature?

2)  Is there a shortcut key to bring up the "Edit Filter" dialog box.

I've had a look through the manual and some of the shortcut settings but can't seem to find what I am looking for.

Any hints would be awesome.

Great music player all-around though.  Looking forward to version 2.0!

I just switched to mysql from the lite version and it's way faster.  I have a 30k plus collection so I would recommend doing the same for anyone with a big collection.
