So I built Amarok Svn and recently rebuilt it for the amazon album fix problem now is that the Ipod no longer connects.
I have made sure libgpod is enabled along with everything else as before, when plugging the ipod in, it mounts then amarok freezes (like usual) for about 30 seconds then it shows devices and shows my ipod, but won't connect.  Clicking connect just freezes for about 10 seconds then same thing, nothing happens.

Note:GTKpod does work, except I never use the program.  GTKpod and libgpod have been compile from source

Any help is appreciated.

If you use (K)ubuntu hardy, you're lucky: Amarok 1.4.9.1 (including the fix) has already hit the repos.
