Hi all.

I need a repository for amarok so a can have the latest version on my EEE PC. Music Manager (amarok) says that it's version 1.4.3 using KDE 3.4.2. When I try updating it I get told that it's already the latest version. Unfortunately my EEE only has one repos and that is an asus one - not very helpful. If anyone knowes a repos for me, or a .deb package this would be very helpful.

AFAIK Xandros (the distro that comes with the Eee) currently doesn't offer newer Amarok packages. We're not happy about that either and we're currently in talks with ASUS to make them use something newer.

The solution for you would be to install an entirely new distro on the Eee, like for instance Debian. There's a special Debian-Eee project, try googling for it.

If you just want a .deb file, you can get it from Debian or Ubuntu.
