I have installed Amarok 1.4.9.1 with Rio Karma support enabled. When I try to connect to the Karma, however, Amarok crashes and gives the error message

KDE Init could not launch 'kmail'

The method I am using is to mount the Karma as follows:

# modprobe usb-storage
# mount -t omfs /dev/sdb1 /mnt/karma0
# mount -t omfs /dev/sdb2 /mnt/karma1
# df -h

as described here.

the 'df' command returns the following:

/dev/sdb1              64M  2.2M  62M  4% /mnt/karma0
/dev/sdb2              19G  19G  331M  99% /mnt/karma1

so it is definitely mounted.

Following the instructions here, I then open Amarok, go to Settings -> Configure Amarok -> Media Devices -> Add Device. I select "Rio Karma Media Device" as the plugin and enter a name ("Karma0") and the mountpoint for the device ("/mnt/karma0"). That works for sdb1 (/mnt/karma0) but when I do it for sdb2 (/mnt/karma1) Amarok crashes.I am a Kubuntu noob so could anyone explain this for me in simple terms? Thanks in advance!
