When I start Amarok, it starts to a small window rather than to the notification tray, and I get the error

"Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: Permission denied"

This only started a couple of days ago.

I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 on a Toshiba Satellite. What could be causing the problem?

The problem continues even in Heron. Please help me.
