Hi Folks,
just found this forum and maybe you can help me. I want to use a PC as a musicplayer with 4 outputs. I got a PC with Ubuntu 7.10 (Amarok 1.4.9.1) with 1 Onboard Soundcard and 3 PCI Soundcards. Now I need 4 Instances of Amarok with everyone using a different soundcard for the output. Is this possible? I mean....with one Instance of Amarok I can choose the output device, but.... how can I start 4 Instances of Amarok with different output paths? Anyone got a Idea? Greets Flo |

You would probably need to create 4 users and run an instance of Amarok as each one - mainly because Amarok stores settings in the user home directory, and Amarok's output device is saved in its user settings file.
