After a lot of research I finally decided to use amarok as my music player.  The other day it crashed, and since then it refuses to load.  No error message, no nothing, it just does not load at all.

I'm using ubuntu Hardy Heron and will provide any additional information that is necessary.

It sucks for me to find this and then have it break on me.

Any thoughts?

Things I've tried so far:

running from a terminal:  no error message, but does not load.

Reinstalling:  no change at all.

I'm not sure what else to try or where to even start looking.

I've done google searches, and searched this forum but no one else seems to have my problem....

not sure if this works with amarok but one fix for an app that won't start is to delete its configuration files.

Ones I've come across are

../user/.kde/share/apps/amarok/..

and I think there's an amarokrc somewhere around there too.

if you delete these and then reinstall amarok you should be back to where you started.  Or you could try just deleting (or safer, renaming) them and restarting amarok.  I think the files will be re-created.
