I'm using Amarok 1.4.8 on Fedora 9, while playing an mp3 with xine engine, sound freezes periodically I mean it doesn't stop it freezes for an instant and continues. It's the same with alsa plugin, pulseaudio plugin and other plugins. Other media players play mp3's fine.
