I have successfully set up Amarok to use PostgreSQL for the collection management. After rebuilding the collection, everything is there and usable.

However, if I run the commands from the wiki page that should transfer the statistics:

Code: Select all
~/.kde/share/apps/amarok$ cd ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok && sqlite3 collection.db .dump | grep 'INSERT INTO "statistics"' |sed -e 's/,0)/,FALSE)/' -e 's/,1)/,TRUE)/' |psql -W -U username amarokcollection

(with my username of course)

After restarting Amarok the collection is empty.

Also the output of those commands seems strange. There are just millions of lines like this: INSERT 0 1 and occassionally a UTF error.

I really would like to have all my old statistics, so if anyone could help me with this I'd be happy.

EDIT: I'm running Amarok 1.4.9.1 on KDE 3.5.9 on the current incarnation of Kubuntu. PostgreSQL is version 8.3.1
