Hi - Just been getting Amarok up and running, and very impressed so far. However I now have an odd problem which is driving me mad!
I have my iPod recognised, and transcoding flac files to it with no problems at all - but I want to adjust the mp3 compression so I can fit more songs (about 7,000) on the iPod (5th gen IPod Video 30Gb). I am sure I have seen the configuration screen to change it before - there were a couple of sliders to adjust the quality. I thought that screen was... Tools / Configure Amarok / Device / Cick on the icon with the cogs next to where my iPod is listed But all I get in there are some basic transcoding options (overwrite files, when to transcode etc) Where should the transcoding options be? How do I adjust the compression/quality of the transcoding? |

I don't use transcoding,, so not too sure, but are you doing the transcoding via the Transkode script? If so, the configuration may be accessible from the scripts dialogue, off the tools menu.

Doh! OK, silly me, they are in the script configuration options - just well hidden!
For those who need them, click on the picture of spanner next to the encoding options field in the transkode configuration screen. Problem solved - thanks for you help! |
