Amarok fails to start [Debian Lenny]

Wed Jun 25, 2008 11:25 am
After upgrading from Debian Etch to Lenny, I try to launch amaroK and it crashes with error:
Code: Select all
$ amarokapp
Segmentation fault
$ amarok
Amarok: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
Amarok: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.
Amarok: [Loader] amarokapp probably crashed!

I tried to use different versions from Debian repositories: 1.4.4 (stable), 1.4.9 (Testing) and to build it from sources 1.4.9.1. But i faced the same problem: Segmentation fault.

I'm love amaroK and i can't stop using it. Help me, pls! ;)

Debian Lenny
KDE 3.5.9
Amarok 1.4.9.1

You should file a bug report with Debian then.
Note that you are using Debian testing (aka Lenny) and not stable (etch).
