So here is my situation...

My wife has an EeePc 8g which has Amarok as it's Music Manager. She received an iPod Nano 8g today as a gift. She decided to plug it into her EeePC and try loading her iPod from the Music Manager(Amarok)...That's when all hell broke loose.

Amarok recognized there was an iPod there, but she was unable to get them to interact so she unplugged her iPod. After that she decided to leave it until I got home from work to figure it out for her. So far no major problem, but then she decided that she wanted to listen to music from her Music Manager(Amarok) while surfing the web and relax....NO DEAL. Now Amarok won't play her mp3s anymore.

My question is what is the best way to restore the proper config to recognize mp3s again. The error message that came up was that the Xine Engine wasn't configured to run mp3s. Currently I am at a lose.

I'm not a total newb in regards to linux distros, but would appretiate any input in to a step by step process.

**note: My wife most wants to have her setup restored as it was, before all else. It's the original Xandros OS, unlocked to advanced desktop.

I'm also posting this question at the Xandros forums, and the EeePC forums.

Thanks in advance for any response.
