I installed Amarok - or at least I think I did - through: 'sudo aptitude install amarok.' However, I can't find it in my 'Sound & Video' menu and I can't run it in terminal. I do get the following message in terminal though when I "install" it. How do I install Amarok??? Help!!!

it is not very surprising that you cannot run Amarok - it is indeed not installed. The problem is that you try to install Amarok not from the servers of your distribution, but from another server that also has another version of KDE. My advice is to find packages for your distribution. The alternative is to upgrade to the KDE version, but this might turn out to be involved and more complicated. I am pretty sure there are some Amarok packages foryour version of Ubuntu. |
