hi all!

i wonder if I can play live streaming real audio on amarok. I googled and found a little trick by hacking ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/xine-config :

i had to substitute in this section:

Code: Select all

# priority for real decoder
# numeric, default: 0
#engine.decoder_priorities.real:0

the last line with:

Code: Select all

#engine.decoder_priorities.real:10

but this trick does not work since there is no sections like this on my ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/xine-config
but just this ones:

Code: Select all

# path to RealPlayer codecs
# string, default:
#decoder.external.real_codecs_path:

Code: Select all

# priority for realadec decoder
# numeric, default: 0
#engine.decoder_priorities.realadec:0

# priority for realvdec decoder
# numeric, default: 0
#engine.decoder_priorities.realvdec:0


some1 knows hot to get amarok playing real audio streming?

You have to make sure that you have installed the Real codecs for xine. This is not an Amarok issue. Google will help you here.

BTW: Lines preceeded with a '#' are seen as comments, thus are ignored while parsing the configuration file.

i google a lot but did not find anything.... do you know the name of this "real codecs for xine"? So i can install it on my own. Thanks
