Hi.
I'm using Amarok 1.4.9.1 on Arch Linux. All my music files used to be under /home/me/Music. Now I moved that directory hierarchy to another filesystem, so that the new path is /data/Music (ie. mv /home/me/Music /data). When I now start Amarok, it of course doesn't know about that move and would still like to load /home/me/Music/Techno/Autechre/Eggshell.mp3. Instead, it should now use /data/Music/Techno/Autechre/Eggshell.mp3. I could now of course create a symlink /home/me/Music -> /data/Music. But that's not what I'd call a "clean" solution. Instead, I'd like the database to be updated. How would this best be done? Thanks a lot, Michael |

Go to preferences, go to collection, add the new folder to the collection and Amarok will find it again.
