Hi
This is about my third stab at getting this fixed. Using Hardy Heron and Amarok 1.4 (from the repos) and a Generation 1 iPod Shuffle. Initially Amarok would not detect my iPod. Installing kdebase-kio-plugins resolved this (this package used to be but no longer is an Amarok dependency - see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/186384). My problem now is that while I can see my iPod and can transfer music onto it, the music does not play on the device. When I transfer music onto it, the transfer is successful, but the iPod does not play the music. I can remove music with out issue. There were no issues like this in Feisty. There are no issues of this sort when using RhythmBox. This makes me suspect the problem is not to do with libgpod (which is libgpod3 btw). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated (I love Amarok). Thanks Chris |

An ipod shuffle needs data in a special shuffe database, which (i think starting with Amarok 1.4.
