first of all let me say "WELL *F* DONE"!!!
i love this software.

I installed amarok-nightly for ubuntu, and noticed i dont have the "devices" section like i do on old amarok..

any ideas?

Amarok 2 is currently under development. There was just a alpha version released, but there is still a lot going on - including the device handling (see the Amarok blog).
As I said, this is still alpha software and not suitable for productive usage.
