I've recently jailbroken my 3g iphone. I tried to copy music over with amarok and it seems to corrupt the database -- when i launch the ipod app , it says there's no music. in Itunes, it says i need to restore, though everything else seems to be ok.
Are there any planned fixes to make the 2.0 iphone firmwares work? I've done a quick google search on the subject and got nowhere but a few dead ends (no solutions) If there's anything i can do to help, please let me know |

Amarok depends on libgpod for ipod/iphone support. As soon as libgpod supports the iphones with 2.0 firmware, Amarok will too. But unfortunately Apple has changed the format and the hashing scheme in the iphone 2.0 firmware. This new format is incompatible with the old one and not yet known. However, some people already have started to reverse engineer that.
There is also a post to the gtkpod-devel mailing list on that topic: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/foru ... kpod-devel |
