I have been through all of the steps to try and get my 1st generation ipod nano to update in Amarok, but am having problems. When I go to 'Configure Amarok' then 'Media Devices', I can't chose the option to select 'Apple iPod' when adding the device. This happens when it is plugged in and when it is not.
The only options available are 'do not handle', 'music sharing', and 'generic audio player'. ![]() |

I have same problem too.
I use Plamo Linux(Japanized Slackware). I 've made Amarok 1.4.9 from tarball with configure option "-with-gnu-ld --with-pic --with-libgpod", and i have libgpod1.0 . but my Amarok Media device configuration can select 'do not handle', 'music sharing', and 'generic audio player' only. why that ? ![]() |

Perhaps your version does not come with ipod support? Where is it from? Can you get a distro version with ipod support?

I missed check my libgpod version. my libgpod version was older than 0.4.2, so I compiled libgpod0.8.0 from tarball. and reinstall Amarok, I cab select "Apple iPod" in configuration. try it > Riahpapaya tnx. |
