Hi. Recently, a topic in this forum reported "missing tracks in collection" ( http://amarok.kde.org/forum/index.php/topic,14955.0.html ) ; however my case seems different.
I use nightly builds of Amarok 2 (today it's 20080822+svn850949-0neon1) on KDE 4.1 throught ubuntu packages, for few months. And since a few weeks, Amarok doesn't display anymore the tracks in my collection. Artists are displayed, albums too, but the "+" sign on an album has no effect : no track is displayed. If I add an album to the playlist, nothing happens. Updating or rescanning the whole collection doesn't solve the problem. I use mostly ogg/vorbis and mp3 file formats, and still uses amarok 1.4.1 on kde 3.5 (someone claimed for a bug when amarok 1.4 whas still installed, but I doubt this could be the cause). Any suggestion ?

I've had similar problem recently and i'd worked it out by deleting .kde4/share/apps/amarok/ dir and reinstalling amarok.

I have tryed this too, whith no success, but I wanted to retry after your post, and noticed ~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok/ was an empty directory. Then, I searched and found a directory ~/.amarok-nightly After removing it, restarting Amarok, and rescanning my collection, the problem is now SOLVED. Thanks. |
