Hello all, I'm trying to get Amarok 1.4 to manage my collection. Works perfectly, great software. Only one thing I can't resolve.
Some albums (like Freudiana by Alan Parsons) have different artists per song. Track 1 sung by Alan Parsons, Track 2 by Eric Woolfsen etc. Amarok gives me two option: (1) Show this album under Various Artists (don't want that) or (2) Show the tracks under each singer (don't want that either). I'd like to list the album under Alan Parsons. The FLAC files are tagged with ALBUMARTIST = 'Alan Parsons' for this purpose. Is there any way to achieve this in the collection view? Thanks very much, Ralph |

Yes, although it is not a perfect solution. Every track is by Alan Parsons, and then after the *track name* (feat. Other Artist). The problem with this solution is that if you want to hear everything that Eric Woolfsen sings -- that track won't pop up in the search. Other solutions have been proposed, but this is what Music Brainz uses also.
