############## My Update and just in case any other poor soul comes across this...######################

I deleted all the config files in my home directory... the amarok folder and the amarok files in the config folder... now it works...

##########################################################################################

Yeah... pretty much what the title says.

I'm on Ubuntu Intrepid, using the Xine backend... I downloaded and compile the SVN according to the instructions on the Download page for Amarok 2. I've already built and compiled the embedded mysql, and upon CMAKE the configuration tells me that I have all needed external packages. Everything builds, and installs without error.

Then I go to launch... I get a splash screen and a nice fat crash report... Amarok crashed with SIGABRT (Signal 6)

Here's the backtrace:

Application: Amarok (amarok), signal SIGABRT

Any ides?? This has been THE most frustrating program to try and get setup... I'm ready to go back to Rhythmbox... dear God, please help...

There is this one line in the config that says:

Qt QTNSPLUGIN library not found.

I have not been able to resolve this, and I have almost everything labeled QT installed...
thanks for the help...

Also, I find the backtrace a little "ambiguous" so here is the console output when launching amarok directly:

amarok(4204) KLocalePrivate::initEncoding: Cannot resolve system encoding, defaulting to ISO 8859-1.

KCrash: Application 'amarok' crashing...
sock_file=/home/daniel/.kde/socket-localhost/kdeinit4__0
(4203)/: Communication problem with  "amarok" , it probably crashed.
Error message was:  "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)" "

As you can see there is some error in the usr/include/qt4/QtCore/qlist.h - but I have no idea what to do about it...
