Hi all,
just a quick gripe - I know this is a compound error but amarok is a guilty party so I'm going to moan here. When you plug a new-gen iPod nano into an Asus eee 901, amarok starts automatically, then overwrites some sort of index file (which apple have chosen to cryptographically sign in their latest release) and everything goes to hell. The nano then says it is full to the same extent it was before but has no songs, amarok can read the content but the nano can't, basically a bad situation. this is the fault of - apple for adding the sha1 hash or whatever it is that screws up compatibility with non iTunes devices Asus for auto-launching amarok But mostly amarok. May I ask why the HELL an application needs to overwrite the index files on a media player when READING said device? Seriously, as a software dev myself, seems like a big no-no. What were you thinking? |
