Problem with backtrace after crash

Fri Nov 07, 2008 2:28 pm
Hi!

I'm using debian unstable/experimental and have a crash with amarok beta 3. I installed the amarok-dbg package in order to have debugging symbols for a backtrace. Unfortunately the KDE Crash Handler tells me:

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents
creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in
the crash.

Does anyone know the cause auf this error?

My laptop hasn't enough RAM for starting amarok under gdb, turning on swap with this slow harddisk is useless.

Any help would be appretiated.

regards
matthias
