If you are using Amarok 2, I probably can't help you. However, if you are using 1.x.x -- it all depends on what you mean by "load" a CD. If you mean rip a CD, and have it show up as part of your collection, which you can play in Amarok -- you will need to rip with a program made to do that. I use KDE and KAudioCreator to rip CDs. You might prefer K3B, or GRip (Gnome).

If you just mean PLAY a CD, use the Engage menu > Play Audio CD. It will take a few seconds for the CD contents to be available for play.

If you want to use Amarok to load the contents of a CD onto your iPod, then you use the Devices menu at the bottom of the left-hand side. You will need to have ripped the CD first.
