Amarok - IPOD - SLED 10

Wed Nov 12, 2008 12:47 pm
Hi everybody.

I have a problem with a IPOD Shuffle, in Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 SP2 (SLED 10 SP 2) and Amarok 1.4.10.

KDE 3.5 detects correctly the IPOD and I have access by ipod://, due to the Kio_ipodslave package.

But in Amarok I can specify the kind of device because It does not appear the Apple IPOD plugin.

I looked up on the Internet I did not find anything about why the plugin does not appear.

It installed libgpod-0.3.0 package, and I also installed libgpod3-0.6.0, but it like Amarok does not notice them.

¿Which package do I have to install to get the Apple IPOD plugin in Amarok?

Thank you for your attention and best wishes,

Javi.

Hey guys,

I'm having a very similar problem... I am running SLED 10 SP2 on a corp computer with Amarok 1.4.8 using KDE 3.5.1. When I try to play music from my iPod, i get an error that it can not play mp3's. As this is a corp computer using Novell respositories, does anyone know where I can find the codecs to install?? I've tried searching for the Multimedia Options Pack 1 as referred to by the Amarok FAQs but no such luck finding them.

Thanks for the help!
