Hello, I have a problem with Amarok and FLAC files, the "Resume playback on start" option is not working with FLAC files. Every time I start Amarok, FLAC files are played from the beginning instead of where they stopped on exit.

I have no problem reading or encoding FLAC files so I guess the problem's not with codecs, and this resume option works fine with MP3 and OGG files.

So is it a know issue or am I the only one having it ?
How can I solve this problem ? Resuming is important to me

Thanks

PS : I'm using Amarok 1.4 on Ubuntu 8.10 (with Gnome)

Probably you won't be able to seek manually (changing time position) in these files either. How to fix that has been discussed in this forum, just search here.

thanks, I'll add seektable then, too bad Amarok can't deal with that without seektables like other players

I've reencoded a song to add a seektable to the file, but resume still doesn't work
anyway, according to "man flac", by default FLAC creates a seektable with a seekpoint every 10 seconds, so I should already have seektables

Ok, I've tried with Audacious on FLAC files with no special seektable options and resume works fine, I guess I'll wait to see if Amarok 2 handles that too or maybe if a plug-in will be developped, that's too bad cause Amarok looked really interesting to me
