Good morning to all, I'm a new user of amarok
I'm tryng to use it but when i put a file in the playlist or modify a tag the file is copied in a folder on the local harddisk. the folder is a letter with in the folder with the name of the autor for ex: B -> Beethowen-> song.mp3 I've not space and I prefear to vork directly on the file (not on the copy) Is possilbe to set amarok to NOT copy the file? I'we searched in the wiky but i didn't find anithing.... Thank you in advance Runner75 |

Amarok does _not_ copy the file if you put it into the playlist.

yes, I've seen that the "problem" is created when i change the tag from the "collection sidebar" (I don't know the right word) If I change, for example, 1 tag field in the whole album the directory is created.... |

The only way this would happen is if you've used the Files sidebar, and used the "copy files to collection" setting.
