How to properly fill my media player using Amarok 2?

My problem is threefold. Due to the lack of a proper ('classic') playlist view, like in Amarok 1 (problem 1) and a lack of good device support (problem 2), I am not able to fill my media player using Amarok 2. Here's how I did it in Amarok 1:

I know that about 400 songs fit on my 2GB player (Meizu M6, simply a USB device). So, I created a playlist of songs that have 3 stars or more (so rating Good or higher). I connect my M6. I then select 350-400 songs and put them in the queue. Thanks to the fantastic configuration of devices, I can tell Amarok how to copy these files, namely like "/MUSIC/%artist-%album/{%track-}%title.%filetype".

Now, back to Amarok 2 (using the latest beta, v1.94).

Problem 1: You can't see a big playlist, like in Amarok 1.
Problem 2: The playlist doesn't let you sort (for example by rating).
Problem 3: There is a devices 'thing' available to setup in the middle pane, but my device doesn't show up (mounted or not mounted). I need to go to the Files tab to access my media player. But that's still quite useless, because I can't copy files from the short playlist with that, either.

Has anybody been experiencing these kinds of problems and perhaps found a solutions (or workaround) to the problem? More importantly, is device configuration (I'm assuming for now that my device not showing is a bug) planned for a future version.

I will be checking out future releases of Amarok 2, but it seems I have no use for it in the current state. :(

Amarok 2 currently supports iPod and MTP devices, but there is no direct support for USB Mass Storage devices yet. However, they can be used like a normal harddisk for now.
