MTP transfer - debugging?

Wed Nov 26, 2008 9:36 am
I have a new Nokia 6220.  I can successfully sync files to the phone using the libmtp command line interface, and using gnomad.  I'm now trying to get Amarok to work.
I'm running Amarok v 1.4.10 with the 0.3.0-API patch for libmtp.
libmtp is version 0.3.4

I can set up the MTP device, it does read the phone model out correctly.  It can also read the files on the phone.
However, when I go to transfer, it immediately tells me that it was unable to transfer.  Looking in the debugging output, I see:
Code: Select all
Device 0 (VID=0421 and PID=008d) is UNKNOWN.
Please report this VID/PID and the device model to the libmtp development team

PTP: Closing session

This is from me pressing Connect, pressing Transfer and pressing Disconnect.  The PTP: bit shows the connect and disconnect, but I am not seeing any debugging output from the actual transfer.  Looking at the source, it seems the transfer should be generating some debugging output.

What's the next step in debugging this situation?
