I am fairly new to Amarok and I have been using it with great pleasure. Only today I have reinstalled my media-computer with all my music on it. I use to play all my music files over network to save discspace and to have a central access point.

When I play songs that are located on my disc the tags are no problem for Amarok to read and thus for last.fm to scrobble but when I play songs over the network Amarok cannot seem to detect the tags:
Example for a songtitle:

03. Den Duustere Wouden.mp3 from xaviercomputer/mp3/Fluisterwoud/Fluisterwoud - Langs Galg en Rad/

Amarok  cannot even read the bitrate or other tags. The playback is fine but the tags are just not being detected and updated in Amarok (and I cannot scrobble them to last.fm). Anyone knows if there is a way to fix this?

The network computer runs on Windows XP with no possibility of also running Ubuntu on it.

Your help is appreciated.

EDIT: changed some settings at my XP computer, works fine now.

I think I should be able to fix it without mounting it because VLC player reads tags over network.
