Every time I start Amarok (1.4.10 on Ubuntu 8.10), I get the startup wizard. It never remembers any history, including most recent tracks played and podcasts downloaded.

Seems a little odd - have you changed any permissions in your home directory? Try deleting ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok and ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc (note you'll get the wizard *again* and will have to rebuild your collection) then re-running Amarok.

Thanks for the advice. Turned out that all of ./kde was owned by root, so when I changed the owner it worked. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Glad it was an easy fix!
