Hello. I am having the same problem on openSUSE 11.1 (default amarok 2 installation) using KDE4. If there is some sort of info I could provide that might help, let me know!

I am having the same issue - CPU utilization moves up to 100% when a song is playing using Amarok 2.0.1.1.  As soon as I pause/stop the song, CPU returns to normal.

I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid with an AMD 2500+.

Thanks.

vanepelw not seeing this issue. Running Ubuntu Intrepid. Compiled source from SVN(as of Rev: 911684) and running on an old AMD Athon CPU. I show Amarok is only using around 3% CPU while playing.
