amarok 2: Trouble playing last.fm streams

Hi.  I have just installed Fedora 10 in a VM and was having a play with it.  I noticed that it comes with amarok 2, so I decided to give it a go (I haven't installed this on the host system yet).  It's nice to see Jamendo integration as I have been getting quite a bit of music from them anyway.  :)

On to my problem: I configured last.fm with my login info and it appears to scrobble tracks fine and lists my available radio stations.  However, when I try to play one of these playback never actually starts.  I can see the track info and album art load up, but the progress bar always stays empty and no audio is ever played.  Streaming from Jamendo works fine but I haven't tried the other online services yet.  Any thoughts?

1) Make sure that you actually have Amarok 2.0, and not some beta version. The Last.fm code was vastly improved shortly before final release.

2) Sometimes the Last.fm servers can simply have an outage. Perhaps it'll work if you try again a bit later.

3) Make sure to wait a bit after starting playing. The servers are sometimes a bit slow, and it can take a while until the stream starts playing.

Thanks for your response.  About Amarok returns this:
Amarok
Version 2.0
Using KDE 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3)

Also: "Build Date: Dec 9 2008"

I currently have the same issue with album art appearing but playback never starting.  I think last.fm is not down currently since I can connect via their website.  I waited patiently, but after several minutes there is still no indication of any change from the current state -- album art and track info but no progress bar.  I will let you know if I am able to connect successfully on subsequent attempts.

Edit: Strangely, after the track time has elapsed it proceeds to a new track but still doesn't give any audio output.  Audio from Jamendo still works fine.

I upgraded to Jaunty Jackalope today and it installed Amarok 2.0.2.  I  am happy to report that last.fm streams are playing fine now.  I am finding that these tracks aren't getting scrobbled, but it seems this is a separate issue now.

Scrobbling is fixed in 2.1-beta1.
