Hi all,
I have Amarok 2.0-10.3 under openSuse with KDE 4.1.3. I've added the media devices applet and then I see 3 icons (ipod, +, -) and a text containing the path to my ipod (/media/IPOD). But when I click anything (ipod, + or -) nothing happens. Running Amarok in debug mode shows these output messages: - When I press the ipod logo button: amarok: BEGIN: void ScanManager::startIncrementalScan() amarok: BEGIN: QStringList ScanManager::getDirsToScan() const amarok: END__: QStringList ScanManager::getDirsToScan() const - Took 0.0086s amarok: GOING TO SCAN: amarok: END__: void ScanManager::startIncrementalScan() - Took 0.009s - When I press the "+" button: amarok: BEGIN: virtual void IpodInfo::connectClicked() amarok: END__: virtual void IpodInfo::connectClicked() - Took 0.00028s - When I press the "-" button: amarok: BEGIN: virtual void IpodInfo::disconnectClicked() amarok: END__: virtual void IpodInfo::disconnectClicked() - Took 0.00027s Any ideas? Regards, Marco |

Don't know if this will help but:
The effects of the '+' and '-' buttons is almost imperceptible. Make sure you're in the "Collections" sidebar, and that your local collection is collapsed. HItting the '+' should add your IPod collection, '-' should remove it. You can listen to tracks on you're Ipod, but I don't believe any further IPod management is possible at the moment. Hope this helped. Doesn't look like anything is going wrong in the debug output, but I'm not a dev, so I might be missing something.

The current OpenSuSE package probably doesn't have Ipod support built in, but will soon enough, excuse the inconvenience.
Also, Ipod management is possible. You can copy tracks to/from device, delete, edit tags etc. |
