No Auto Play?

Thu Dec 25, 2008 4:10 am
Hi.

I made the change over to Amarok 2.0 last week and I am constantly annoyed by the auto play feature.

In 1.0 once you load the song straight into Amarok (i.e double-click from a folder) and it will start playing it automatically. In 2.0 once you load the song into Amarok it will not play until you hit play.

Is there a certain feature I don't have turned on?

Cheers.

I assume you're clicking the file in an external application?

At any rate, the track should start to play, _if_ the current state is stopped. If something else is playing, it should not interrupt playback of that.

This is the way it's supposed to work. If it doesn't, please make a bug report on bugs.kde.org.

Strange. After finishing a song it puts the state into Paused and the only way to clear the state is either to hit Play or Stop several times.

Will report it as a bug.

Oh, this bug (not reaching Stopped state at end of playlist) is already fixed in SVN ;)

Stay tuned for 2.0.1.
