Cannot connect IPOD to amarok

Fri Dec 26, 2008 6:24 am
i'm new to ubuntu, i'm currently running 8.10 and i'm having an issue connecting my IPOD to amarok. I have read some of the topics on here and some have been most helpful, however, i still cannot connect. I have checked and double checked where the ipod is being mounted, and have told amarok the location several times. Now i'm faced with having to enter pre connect and disconnect commands. i'm not sure what i should be writing in here. the software has put "kdeeject -q %d" in the disconnect command, but nothing in the pre connect command line. please help!

You shouldn't need to enter a pre-connect command.  Have you checked your Amarok settings?  Look under media devices - if your iPod is already listed make sure you have chosen the iPod plug-in.  If it is not listed, click on add device and again choose the iPod plug-in, fill in a name and a mount point and you should be good to go.
