OS: OpenSuse 32 bit 11.1
Amarok Version: 2.0, build date: Dec 7, 2008 KDE: 4.1.3 I have several problems with Amarok 1) When drag a folder into Amarok, it doesn't do anything or it doesn't recursively scan the folder for music files. I am not sure what's internally happening in there, but it doesn't do anything 2) When I go to playlist, and the click on My Playlists, then click Add Folder, nothing happens. 3) When I click on the export playlist icon, a file save dialog shows up, I enter a file name and click Save, nothing happens (the file is not there, no error message or successful message). 4) There is no open playlist message 5) When I click on Save playlist icon, nothing happens, but quit and reopen Amarok, the list of files are not there. You may wonder how I got the file there. I go to Files, and select a folder, and then click on "Add to playlist" or something to that effect. I have to do everytime I restart Amarok. |

To use Amarok to its full potential, you need to let it scan your music and build a collection database. To do this, go to settings->collection and select the folders you wish for it to scan and select "rescan collection"
Dragging a folder to the playlist should add the folder to the playlist. It does not import anything into Amarok. Clicking "add folder" in "my playlists" simply adds another logical group to the view for organizational purposes ( this could perhaps be made more clear ). It is not meant to add anything to the collection. Export playlist should work and save a playlist file. If not that is a bug that should be filed at http://bugs.kde.org "Add media" should allow you to load a playlist. The "save playlist" icon saves the current playlist to the list in "My playlists". Amarok should automatically remember what is in the playlist whenever you close it. |

Amarok doesn't do anything in this case. "Clicking "add folder" in "my playlists" simply adds another logical group to the view for organizational purposes ( this could perhaps be made more clear ). It is not meant to add anything to the collection." Amarok doesn't do anything in this case. Another problem I found was that click on stop would temporarily stop the music player for a moment and play it again. I have to click again for it to fully stop. |
