BUG? Files deleted after attempt to transfer already copied file to media player
Sat Jan 03, 2009 2:42 am
I seem to be able to reproduce this one but I don't know what's causing it.
I thought I had 49 out of 50 episodes of a particular podcast on my portable media player, an Archos 605 Wifi. I marked the 50th for copying and realized I might be missing others. So I marked all episodes of this podcast for transferring thinking that those already present would simply error out and any missing entries would be copied over to complete my collection. What happened was the 50th episode copied over fine but all pre-existing 49 episodes were removed/deleted. I tried this again and the logic held true: the 50th podcast that was just copied was removed while all previously removed podcasts were copied over. I'd like to request some other Amarok users to try this and report the results. I figure there are three things involved (amarok, Fedora and Archos) and that either one could be the culprit of this problem. My setup is Amarok 1.4.10 on Fedora 9. I'm using an Archos 605 Wifi as my media player via USB cable. Archos deals with it as a generic media player device. Thanks, |
