Hi,
I have installed the latest Amarok 1.4.10 from Packmann and use it with Opensuse 11.1.
At first I must say my collection is large more than seventy-thousend files. I have changed my database for a few weeks from sqlite to mysql. Collection scan works many hours the database was filled up. I alwas have the option on "rekursive searching" and "looking for changes". Now I search for a solution for following problem I will describe:

- If I add a new directory with new files, let me say only 10 files, he noticed the changes automatically rescan the collection because I have said "looking for changes" but he will always do this for the whole directory structur where the new directory lies in. That costs e few hours time for only 10 songs. I have looked with mysql-administrator online what Amarok do. He deletes tracks that hasn't changes and added it at the same time. I think he scan the whole directory level from the hierarchie level that has changed because of the new album(directory)  I think this is a bug. Is it?

- The next thing is that the visualisation has changed in the Context tab. When I play a song he only shows me the tracks from the artist in the album and not the other tracks from the album, I mean the rest from the album. This has changed since I change the database from sqlite to mysql.

Do everyone have a hint or a solution for me. Yu will make me very happy.

Yours
Martin

PS. I forget a detail: Amarok engine is xine and it runs on KDE 1.9.x desktop(Near to from suse Factory)
