Amarok 2 Window empty

Thu Jan 22, 2009 7:38 am
If Amarok 2 starts, I can only see the control buttons (Play / Stop ...) and the position bar at the top.

There is no content in the window to see, no playlist, no file browser, and no info-widgets.

Files can be added for playing by choosing the file/open entry, but there is no playlist to be seen.

A few days ago, everything looked quite nice and okay! Suddenly Amarok only starts with an empty window.

I have completely uninstalled Amarok 2 and deleted the Amarok directory from the .kde directory in my home directory and installed Amarok 2 again . But it remains in the misconduct.

Since I am in love with Amarok 2, I am now a little bit sad.
Thanks for each hint / link!

Yep same problem here, I am starting to dislike amarok2 since i can't view anything and import mysql database (imports 154 when it should import 16000+).  Sticking with amarok1.4 for now....

I had this problem also. But I found out that the left panel is resized all the way to the right. I was able to drag it from the right to the left to get everything back. The only problem I am having now is that when I shutdown my laptop and restart it at a later time, amarok 2 panels do not stay the same size. I always have to resize them.

Well that worked, I tried from the left but never thought the right, not sure what happened.  Maybe I can get this importing thing fixed now.  Thanks
