Hi there.!
I have been eagerly awaiting release of Amarok2 ever since KDE4 came out.But now that I finally have it, it crashes with console output as follows: [quote][zine@paradiso ~]$ amarok amarok(7064)/kdecore (KSycoca) KSycocaPrivate::openDatabase: Trying to open ksycoca from "/var/tmp/kdecache-zine/ksycoca4" amarok(7064)/kdecore (KLibLoader) kde4Factory: The library "" does not offer a qt_plugin_instance function. amarok(7064)/kdecore (KLibLoader) kde3Factory: The library "" does not offer an "init_phonon_xine" function. amarok(7064) Phonon::KdePlatformPlugin::createBackend: using backend: "Xine" amarok(7064)/kdecore (KLibLoader) findLibraryInternal: plugins should not have a 'lib' prefix: "libamarok_collection-mtpcollection.so" amarok(7064)/kdecore (KLibLoader) findLibraryInternal: plugins should not have a 'lib' prefix: "libamarok_collection-sqlcollection.so" InnoDB: The log sequence number in ibdata files does not match InnoDB: the log sequence number in the ib_logfiles! 090130 16:47:39 InnoDB: Database was not shut down normally! it happens to mee to
one thing that i noticed is that the last time i closed amarok it was really slower to shut down than the others times. then it refused to start again. i don't know if it is relevant but maybe it's useful. anyway i don't think it is a problem of amarok, but of mysql because googling e.g. "InnoDB: The log sequence number in ibdata files does not match" it shows plenty of issues, and from what i could argue, i think the database is somehow corrupted. removing the directory ~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok/mysqle doesn't solve the problem but changes the output a bit:
p.s.:the disk is not empty p.p.s.:"Descrittore di file non valido" means not valid file descryptor p.p.p.s.:i attached the backtrace

Ouch, there is a lot wrong with your debug output. One problem I see is that "InnoDB" is mentioned many times, which Amarok 2 does not currently support. Only the "MyISAM" MySQL backend is supported. So there is probably something wrong with the packaging. Please ask your package provider / Linux distro for advice.
