Now Amarok can connect to various Web services and access the music from there directly, enriching your music collection greatly. And thanks to the powerful API adding additional services can be done with very little effort. This has been covered in the Insider on previous occasions, but now is a good time to have a look at what will actually make it into the final 2.0.0 release. Lets take a look at services supported by Amarok 2.0 Beta 3: Ampache Service It allows you to connect to the Ampache music server and use it like any other service, which includes browsing, searching, cover art display, and of course music playback. This is really cool, as it allows you to have one centralised server holding your perfectly tegged collection, and use Amarok as a frontend remotely, which is, kinda, best of the both worlds. Jamendo Service It gives you access to the Jamendo's rich database of independent artists. I keep reading this all over the place, but I can't find directions on how to do it. Could some one walk me through the process? I get all of my music from Jamendo and would really love to use Amarak to make it easier. Thanks!
eean KDE Developer Posts 1016 Karma 0 OS	Re: Jamendo Sat Jan 31, 2009 5:27 pm With Amarok 2 just click on the "internet" tab and Jamendo should be there. If its not, I guess maybe its disabled by default. Go to the Internet section of the Amarok's configuration dialog. Amarok Developer
lyceum Registered Member Posts 2 Karma 0	Re: Jamendo Sat Jan 31, 2009 6:02 pm On the top row I see: Engage \| Playlist \| Mode \| Tools \| Settings \| Help On the side row I see: Context Collection Playlists Files Magnitune Devices In settings I can configure Global Shortcuts, shortcuts, toolbar & Amorok. In these I see not "internet" tab or settings. I am lost.
